this is for all the people who have been waiting for my post and also for all the people who gave up waiting for one.

sorry that i took so long. its not that I have forgotten you guys. its just that uni started and stuff starts pretty fast and i don't wanna be behind work like i was last year and then study just the night before! learnt my lesson and i'll be trying to work harder this year. trust me. working hard for me is a lot of effort. for those who know me well.. you know what i mean. but for those who don't, i usually don't study more than the work i have to hand in.

ANU is now ranked world 16th and 2nd in Asia i think which makes it the best in Australia.YAY! check out if you want to.

i know.. its still a hole. i was talking to a friend today and she asked me where would i want to be after i graduate. come to think of it... i gave an answer that sidetrack so much that i don't think i told her an exact place. i probably will never know anyway. i hold a malaysian passport, i hold a permanent residency in australia, and my dad has a business in beijing which will probably (or hopefully) allow me to be back in the PRC again where i grew up. a bit confusing but hey, i know that God has a plan.

we did a bible study preparation for OCF today on the book of Jonah. we did the first chapter and it has so much stuff in just one chapter. its amazing how much you get out of one chapter by doing some research into where the location of the cities are that are mention and also the significance of sea during those times. Jonah really isn't just a fishy story anymore once you really dig into it.

Signs of Love

School was over for the day, and 14-year-old Sandy couldn't wait to get home. Bursting into the kitchen, she exclaimed, "Mother, I'm in love! I tingle whenever I'm near him, and I have butterflies in my stomach when he talks to me."

Sandy's mother listened as her daugther bubbled over about the wonders of being in love, but she wasn't unduly alarmed. She expected that before long the romance would end--and in a few days it did. There's much more to true love than a tingling sensation and butterflies in the stomach.

Likewise, the signs of a genuine love for Jesus must be much more than the good feelings gained from enthusiastic singing and glowing testimonies in public.

I heard of a woman who exuberantly described how much she enjoyed her church and loved Jesus. Yet she refused to speak to her mother-in-law, fought with her sisters, and tried to dominate her husband. If she couldn't show her devotion to Jesus by obeying His command to love others, the happiness she felt at church meant nothing.

When Jesus said, "If you love Me, keep My commandments" (Jn. 14:15), He was giving us the supreme test of our devotion to Him. Do we pass the test?

So many of us (including me) have mistaken the meaning of true love for an emotion that last for a moment.  

i dont' really consider myself an animal lover. though i may have choosen to put pictures of it on my xanga site. i do not even have a single pet. i only chose them because of the colours and the artistic nature of it. 

i am still working on changing my xanga sites. most of the really nice ones are taken from a template. i thought i should design one of my own. maybe not a fancy one but at least one that is original - collection of copies.

ah drats. can't find the movie i wanted to share. anyway i've just watched A world without Thieves. a chinese movie which i thought had a very interesting idea of a world of thieves. i guess its the director (Feng Xiaogang)'s way of looking at our world i guess. theres this one part that i found most interest. it was when rene liu (actress in the movie) said "i wish he could sleep like this forever. and ever wake up. that way he'd never lose his faith in this world. he could live forever in his dream of a world without thieves."

okay, i think rrriiiggghhhtt... i should use this xanga thingy more often so that i can give an update to all the real slim shadys and hot gals out there on whats been happening in my life i.e. if i have a girlfriend, when am i getting married and having kids and stuff like that. but for now, i'm single . I'm still a kid, what do you expect? for all the ladies out there who wanna get attached.. i guess they'll just have to wait.. haha...
